Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GetDataSurge LLC (“GetDataSurge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with SightLine (the “Service”). It applies to visitors to our marketing site and to users of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account information — name, email address, business name, and password (stored as a salted hash), provided when you register or manage your account.
- Business records you enter — customer contacts, quotes, invoices, schedules, inventory, and other records you or your users submit while using the Service.
- Usage data — log data, device and browser information, and interactions with the Service, collected automatically to operate, secure, and improve the product.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- understand usage patterns to improve reliability and features.
We do not use your business records to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell personal data. See Section 6.
3. Third-Party Integrations
SightLine offers optional integrations that only operate when you choose to connect them:
- QuickBooks Online (Intuit) — when you connect QuickBooks Online, we authenticate via Intuit’s OAuth flow and store the resulting access and refresh tokens in encrypted form. We exchange invoice, customer, and payment data with QuickBooks Online only at your direction — for example, when you sync an invoice or customer record — and only for as long as the connection remains active. You can disconnect QuickBooks Online at any time from your account settings, which revokes our access to the token.
- Stripe — payment processing for SightLine subscriptions, and optionally for customer-facing payments you collect through the Service, is handled by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment information necessary to process transactions; we do not store full card numbers.
- Zapier — if you connect Zapier, we send the specific data your configured Zaps are set up to send, so that data can flow to the other apps in your Zap.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data once received. We recommend reviewing them before connecting an integration.
4. Data Storage & Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit via TLS and encryption at rest for sensitive credentials such as third-party access tokens and passwords. Access to production data is restricted to personnel who need it to operate and support the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account information and business records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will complete deletion requests within a reasonable time, except for information we are required to retain by law.
6. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share data with third-party processors (such as our hosting provider, payment processor, and the integrations described in Section 3) only as necessary to provide the Service, and under agreements that restrict their use of that data to the purposes we specify.
7. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Children’s Privacy
SightLine is a business tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, such as by email or an in-app notice, before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
10. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent to [email protected].
