What shapes can it nest?
Rectangular openings — width by height. Window film, PPF panels, and flat glass are cut from rectangles, so the optimizer nests real roll widths against real openings. It does not import DXF/DWG vector shapes.
Does it nest against my actual rolls?
Yes. The on-hand mode nests against the roll widths and remaining lengths you have on the shelf, so the plan reflects film you can cut today — not a generic catalog width.
What are the four modes?
Use-on-hand nests against your current stock; best-fit packs for the lowest waste regardless of stock; one-roll and two-roll bound the job to that many rolls. Pick the tradeoff the job needs.
How is the waste percentage calculated?
It is the film area consumed minus the area actually cut, over the film consumed — the honest offcut cost of the nest, reported before you commit the cut.
Can it nest a job across more than two rolls?
The bounded modes cover one or two rolls today; a job larger than that uses best-fit across your on-hand stock. A wider multi-roll pass is on the roadmap.
